Nadya Hambach is attorney at law with 10+ years experience in the Corporate and Commercial Law, with particular knowledge and significant experience in the gaming industry. Her expertise covers also IP on the Internet and Competition law.

Professional experience

In 2004 Nadya joins the legal team of Casino Technology (Bulgarian leading and World well recognised gaming equipment manufacturer) and in 2008 becomes the Head of Legal department. In 2008 is was elected as a Member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Association of the manufacturers and operators in the gaming industry (BTAGI) and holds this position until 2012. In this capacity she participated actively in the consultation process for adopting the new gaming regulation in Bulgaria and represented the Bulgarian gaming industry in the most prominent international gaming forums as a recognised speaker. From 2009 until May 2012 she was member of the EXCOM and the Legal Committee of EUROMAT (European Gaming and Amusement Federation).

In June 2012 she joined Velchev&Co. team as Head of the Entertainment and Gaming department. In October 2012 she is elected as a General member of IMGL (International Masters of Gaming Law) as the only Bulgarian lawyer in the Association. Since 2013 she is a European Lawyer in Munich.

She publishes regularly in key industry editions worldwide.

Nadya is fluent in Bulgarian, English, Russian, German.

Gambling industry is one of the most strictly regulated industries in Bulgaria and is also a permanent and reliable source of considerable tax income to the State Treasury. Its regulation has been in the center of public debate for some years now, resulting in the adoption of a new Gambling Act, which came into force on 01.07.2012.
