The rising popularity of social networks is one of the trends that help to explain the popularity of social games. These have a certain affinity with gambling, but the differences are nevertheless crucial. After more than 10 years of close cooperation with the world’s largest listed online gaming company, we understand these differences: in Austria, at the European level and internationally.

That’s why we are counted among the leading experts in gambling, (sports) betting and social gaming. Our capabilities in this field have been recognized by: the international legal directory Chambers Global (included among top 50 table of global gaming experts), the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) and the International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA). Our popularity as speakers at numerous international conferences, as well as such recognitions, underpin our supremacy in the Leisure & Entertainment sector.

But it is not only social games that keep lawyers busy; even a classic online and social media presence requires compliance with the legal requirements. We clarify questions on consumer law, assist in the design of policies and advise on the general terms and conditions of trade and business. Online banking and the drafting of online payment agreements are also covered by us. We represent our clients before national and EU courts and authorities with pertinent submissions on points of EU law.

The call for specialization continues and those who find gaps in the market succeed. In banking and capital markets, we bring our negotiating strength to bear before the courts and with the authorities while in the leisure and entertainment arena, we take advantage of our comprehensive expertise in relevant transaction. Our practice is a combination of corporate law with that of one of the most experienced criminal lawyers in Austria. A thorough understanding of the business of our clients, as well as a focus on the client’s strategic vision, allows us to anticipate the needs of our clients and provide effective counsel. These strengths have made us one of the leading law firms in Austria. Our team size brings a decisive advantage, allowing us to provide tailored advice and at the same time assisting our clients in complex cases. Brandl & Talos – understanding what matters.
